Top-Seeded Tennis Takes on No. Five Seed Anna Maria in GNAC Tournament Semifinals

BOSTON, Mass. – The top-seeded Simmons College women’s tennis team will play fifth-seeded Anna Maria College in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference Championship Tournament semifinals. The Sharks take on the AMCATS on Saturday, October 25 at 2:00 p.m. at the Winchester Indoor Tennis Lawn Center in Winchester, Mass.

First Years Lead Volleyball over Cross-Street GNAC Rival, Emmanuel, 3-1

BOSTON, Mass. - First years Emmee Ashby (Payson, Ariz.) (16 kills) and Sarah Woodward (Deerfield, Mass.) (9 kills, 13 digs) led the Simmons College volleyball team to a 3-1 (19-25, 25-22, 25-21, 25-11) victory this evening in a Great Northeast Athletic Conference match at the Jean Yawkey Center in Boston, Mass. The Sharks have won six straight and nine of their last 12 to improve to 9-13 on the season, while the Saints fall to 19-10 and suffer their first conference loss, dropping them to 6-1.

Simmons Athletics Raises Money with Coaches vs. Cancer

BOSTON, MA – Led by the Simmons College volleyball team, the Simmons Athletics Department raised over $1,100 in conjunction with the American Cancer Society's Coaches vs. Cancer initiative.

Greer Leads Soccer over Norwich, 4-0

BOSTON, Mass. – Junior forward Greer Gilbert (Falmouth, Mass.) tallied three points, including a goal to lead the Simmons College women’s soccer team to a 4-0 victory over visiting Norwich University this evening in a Great Northeast Athletic Conference match on a wind-fueled rainy Winsor Field in Boston, Mass. The Sharks have won five of their last six games and improve to 8-6-2 overall, including 7-3-0 in league play, while the Cadets fall to 3-10-1 and 1-8-1.
