Obituary: Alison Bell Palioca

PALIOCA, Alison Bell 91, of Exeter, New Hampshire, formerly of Wellesley, MA and Homosassa, Florida, passed peacefully on July 16, 2014 at the Ridge at Riverwoods in Exeter. She was the beloved wife of the late Dr. Charles A. Palioca, DMD, who passed in 2001. Alison was born in New Plymouth, New Zealand on April 24, 1923. Her hobbies included bridge, gardening as a member of the Wellesley Garden Club and many years of volunteer service at Newton-Wellesley Hospital. Her passion was tennis and she played competitively for many years at Longwood Tennis Club. She was a lover of music, nature and animals. Blue Swimming & Diving Team/Individuals Earn National Academic Recognition

The Wellesley College swimming and diving team was recently honored for its work in the classroom. The Blue were awarded Team Scholar All-America distinction by the College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA). In addition to the team honor, recent graduate Emma Mrkonic and rising sophomores Leah Furman and Maddie Stern, were named to the Scholar All-America team.
